Have you ever talked to someone, and to your amazement they have NEVER cooked, prepared, or even tried certain foods that you LOVE?
Mango's are a great example..
Artichokes are another...
How about fresh Pineapple?
What do you people do? Cut it in half and scoop it out?
Check this tool out that I've had for years. I've never seen one in anyone's kitchen that I know of. But it sure works GREAT!!
And nothing has to go to waste, you can cut the 'skin' in strips, and fillet the Pineapple flesh right off. I love fresh pineapple...No Acid Indigestion!!

oh i do love fresh pineapple. i always cut the skin off then sliced it up but that is a handy doodad.
in trinidad you can get peppered pineapple. that's a really interesting and yummy zing.
I've seen a tool that would core one, but not do the outside at the same time...

That's a great tool g-man, I saw someone on TV use one just the other day and said "I have to have one!". Unfortunately I haven't got one yet!

last night i made coconut
sticky rice and cut up
fresh mango, the
yellow ones i get
in chinatown, and
put it on top of the
sticky rice, and poured
more warm coconut milk
over it and put some
cashews on top...
oooooh baby...
my dad takes this
supplement called bromelain
and its a digestive enzyme or
something, and it comes
from pineapple...get it?
no acid indigestion,
cuz its alkaline, baby!

Fresh fruit is beyond anything. Give me some fresh pineapple, mango and I'm good to go ;o)

A corer very much like yours. It took forever. Everything I was finding cut the pineapple into into slices.
The first fresh one I had was rotten. The second one was simply incredible. Can't say I had mango, at least so I know. I have had a few things that I have no clue what it was. So I guess I fall into the category of not knowing something that you love.

I adore pineaple, but it eats my tongue alive! (Marinates it I suppose)... Funny, because I can eat things with vinegar like nobody's business, but pineapple just disolves my tongue! I do like it in shishkabob.
