Hi Everybody..Welcome to Trashy Tuesday.
Your host for today's Trash-o-Rama is The G-Man...
I grew up in an area of Flint called Burton. 90% of the people that lived here migrated North from the Deep South after the WWII to work for GM. There was a factory here called Fisher Body, and they made Buicks. Most of the people worked within walking distance of the factory, and the inhabitants were mostly from Arkansas, and Mississippi, and Missouri. But the area became known as 'Little Missouri'.
Our family came from Germany and Scotland, and immigrated through Canada..That has nothing to do with today's post, I just thought you'd like to know...
Anyway, I've always said that I'd like to put the name of that Mechanical Engineering firm on my post so now I have...And as far as Crank's Motel go's, it has always rented rooms by the 'hour'...If you know what I mean?
These neighborhood landmarks are still here long after GM flew the coup...
I hope you got a grin from them...
Peace...

LOL johnson & wood, cranks...too funny.
thanks for the local sights. it was a good giggle.
Do you think they'd let me borrow their name to use for my Dildo Store?
Can you ask them please?
I'm so not kidding.
I'd open it up in Boystown.
Do you know how much money I would make with a name like that?
Did it NEVER dawn on them just how great of a name it was? I mean, did somebody have to TELL them, you think...or did they sort of/kind of just know and did it anyway?
You could hardly do a Trash-a-Rama without plugging Crank's Motel. LOL!
xoxo
By the hour ... why would anyone want to rent a hotel for ONE hour?
....
....
Oh.
Never mind.
Hmmmmm.....
Curious here.
I wonder how much it costs to rent a motel for one hour?????
G-daddy, check out my post today!!!!
I always wondered what that "Body by Fisher" was about, now I know more. Rock on, G.
I had a Body By Fisher t-shirt when I was a kid. My step dad was a car salesman.
I could so make both of them better signs.

Oh, how I would LOVE to see the sign YOU make for Johnson & Wood.
I'd probably buy a copy of it to display in my apartment as artwork.
Thats really interesting, I bet the place was never the same after G-man flew the coup. Did I ever say my mother is Scottish?
