Thursday Portrait.......

Hi Everybody...I got off work early tonight and made it to my first Bike Nite at Scooter's Bar and Grill...My favorite Biker Bar. I got there plenty early and as you can see, a near empty lot!

The next shot shows it an hour later..

The Chromed Out V-Rod belongs to my buddy Dan, we've gone to Daytona twice as a group. In March when we were at Bike Week, his bike was chosen to appear in Iron Horse Magazine, the issue comes out next month..

Also he met someone famous in Daytona, and that someone signed his seat. Can anyone guess who's signature that is?

And there is good ole Helmet Head!!!!!

Have you ever talked to someone, and to your amazement they have NEVER cooked, prepared, or even tried certain foods that you LOVE?

Mango's are a great example..

Artichokes are another...

How about fresh Pineapple?

What do you people do? Cut it in half and scoop it out?

Check this tool out that I've had for years. I've never seen one in anyone's kitchen that I know of. But it sure works GREAT!!

And nothing has to go to waste, you can cut the 'skin' in strips, and fillet the Pineapple flesh right off. I love fresh pineapple...No Acid Indigestion!!

New Grill?....Ha!!!

Howdeeeee.... Welcome to Appalachian North!!

Y'all don't have to be from the Holler to employ Hillbilly Technology to everyday life.

Last winter in the midst of a blizzard, my myopic son Reese ran into my Weber Kettle with my truck..(see dent in pic #1). He then so thoughtfully hid my Weber in a snowbank, and always parked the truck with the dent side facing away..This blunt force trauma was not discovered until the snow melted a couple of months back, and I wasn't any too pleased!

Now I understand that most folks have a gas grill...Not Me!! I have had my Weber for over 25 years and it was 'seasoned' perfectly. The bottom part was dented in, the leg holders were knocked off, the top was caved in, and the handle just plain disappeared!!

My family begged me to go buy a grill yesterday, but I considered this a wonderful challenge.

I got out my trusty sledge hammer, and pounded and pounded and pounded some more...

I felt like a blacksmith shaping this twisted metal into a recognizable shape. After a while, I still had the problem of the legs and handle. The legs was an easy problem to solve, I just used the stand from my turkey frier ( see pic #4 ). The handle...? Strictly ghetto, strictly hillbilly, but you know what?..It worked just fine!!!

I got the grates in the grill...

Poured Kingsford Charcoal into my grill..

And I never use Charcoal lighter fluid to start a fire, in this case I used apple wood twigs.

And for the dinner vittles, we had veggies stole from the neighbors garden, Possom Burgers, and Raccoon Bratwurst, sometimes known as "Ring-Tailed Suprise" around these here parts!!!

I hope Y'all are enjoying this holiday week-end, I'm now fixin to go work on my 'still' beforin the revenuers pay me a visit.....

Hi everybody....What a Glorious Day to be alive!!!

Not only are we in the midst of a great Holiday Week-End...

But today is Jodie Morgetron's 42nd Birthday!!!!

Jodie is a teacher in Omaha Nebraska.

She is married to one lucky bastard, and is the mother to several children and a few dogs!

She is probably THE funniest chick on the planet, and is an Artiste Extraordinaire!!!

I have been the lucky recipiant of her very first contest prize that she had to offer on her blog..The very strange..G-Ra.(Pictured above on my desk)...

I have since commissioned several pieces of priceless art from her, at a very hefty price I might add, and have laughed for seconds at her countless antics, and many many different looks!!!

And I can honestly say that she is truely one of the most beautiful creatures that God has put on this planet...Inside and out!!!!!!!

Thursday Portrait......

Hi Everybody....Tonight was the band recognition for Reese's High School.

Yep, the only senior with a Skull Cap on...And we ain't talkin yamulke!!!

But after 8 years of band, and 4 sweltering band camps...I think he's earned the right to let loose a little...Congratulations Son, your father loves you very much!!
