He eases in behind the wheel, and takes a deep breath. Reaching to turn on
the ignition, he hears the rising crescendo of impending horror.....

for destruction. Those Rim-Busting, Tire-Popping, Axle-Twisting ....
Asphalt Caverns from Hell!!!!!

Those of you folks that live in the South, be glad that you do. (Until the Summer)
If you are a Pot-Hole Dodger or have written a Friday Flash 55
Please come tell The G-Man
I will visit, read, enjoy, comment.....Then BOOK!
So from the most Dodgingest host from coast to coast...
Have a Kick Ass Week-End!!!!!

Oh, I hear you about potholes. When we drive around here, we really need to take care. My daughter lost a tire rim to one of the potholes. Sigh.

Sorry I didn't appear here last week. But here I am this week.

Here is my 55:   Manifesto.

I'm no Dodger fan - I'm a Giants fan. Or Angels fan. Or anybody playing the Dodgers fan.

That said, most of the time, what do I know? All I know is sleep ~

Rest assured, we get em here too--but they're not freakin canyons and abysses like you all have--yeesh!

I have written a little ode to doggy slumbers for you this week G,, and as a peace offering to Mama Zen, who asked for a poem about insomnia in under 60 words and got 126. Not this time though:

Slipping The Leash

G-Man did you see that news story about the sinkhole that opened up in the middle of the Corvette museum? It was wild!

Got one for you here:

Hey Galen, I'm sort of back! At least to the land of 55s (and potholes) although I think I run into a lot of other kinds of holes in my daily life! Agh!

When I was a little kid riding in the car with my dad, I heard him muttering about potholes.
I'd never heard that word before and didn't understand what he meant, so I though he was saying "buttholes."

Imagine my confusion when he complained about running over all those buttholes in the road. ;)

Thanks for another Friday 55!
Mine's here. :)

with all the snow and ice this year...our roads are for shit...too many holes to even try to dodge....

I've been bouncing from one to another of those potholes lately. I swear they just get bigger and bigger.

Mine is up

Being in the South doesn't make the roads any better. The potholes are just easier to see without any snow.

Man, I hate those things! They are all over the place and we could keep hundreds-of-thousands of Americans employed with a works project to fix 'em. Stepping off soapbox...... Loved your timely 55, G.

(I am in awe of the people I see here who have combined their 55 with a Manifesto for dVerse. That was simply beyond me this week!!!

Thank god, when I'm in India, I don't drive. I need both hands to hold onto my rickshaw as they bounce through the eternal potholes. Back home in CA, most of my driving in on wonderful roads, with nary a pothole.

What a great snippet 55! and true sadly- my town pays for some slightly more expensive product
(by the bag)for winter- that sticks better than traditional cold patch. See what our tax dollars are
doing ?!

Why did the chicken drive across the road?
He was too drunk to walk!

There are potholes in this neck of the woods that swallow cars!
Here is my late entry, in which there are no potholes, but there is a maze of doom.
