The Perfect Sunday.......

Hi everybody...I hope you had a great week-end.

One of the perks of the car business, is occassionally scoring some freebies!

This Sunday, I was lucky enough to score 4 tickets to the 5oth Buick Open at Warwick Hills Country Club in Grand Blanc Michigan. Grand Blanc is only 10 miles from my house, and I have been going to it for over 45 years.

My friend and mentor in car sales Pete Samaras, lives on the 16 fairway. We always park in his driveway for free!!!!

Supposedly the LOUDEST hole in pro golf is the 17th hole at Warwick. It is a par 3 and if any golfer gets a hole in one at that particular hole, they win a free Buick Lucerne. The crowd is very very rowdy there, but they DO shut up during the actual golf shot by the pro. Today we got there early, and was able to sit in the bleachers and see every golfer play.

Since Tiger Woods injured himself for the rest of the year, the course was not overly crowded. The temperature was about 70 degrees, and they were giving away free Buick Open golf balls!

So lets get this straight....

3..Free Golf Balls..( hehehe 6 'sleeves'= 18 free golf balls)

4..No Work

5..No Yard Work

6..Country Club chicks EVERYWHERE with pretty pedicured feet!!!

0% For 72 Month's Portrait.......

The G-Man is very tired today...I went in on my day off and ended up selling two Silverado's, two HHR'S, and an Impala!! We closed at 6, but I was there past 8, then I had to deliver some tables and chairs that I borrowed for the Open House...ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Retro Wednesday......

From 1968 to 1972, my college fraternity provided the ushers for one of the local concert venues. We got paid 8 dollars a head, and some shows needed up to 36 ushers. We also got to see the shows for free. I tore tickets at the door, and after every show I asked the theater mgr. if I could have the sign on the marquee. These were all hand painted.

I think I have about 10 left...Check out the ticket prices...hehehehehe

It's Finally Over.....

Hi everybody, I hope you all had a wonderful week-end!!

These last 3 days have been hectec to say the least, but we all survived!

I made it through the open house with-out having to rent one single thing.

The tent is my cousin Kelly's, the table and chairs were from my friends Pat and Sheila.

There were off and on well over a hundred people that showed up and ate, drank and partied a bit..

My brother brought his smoker over, and cooked the best beef brisket that I've ever had!

Friday Flash 55........

Herve' Villechaize the "Fantasy Island" star, brought his life to an end by shooting himself in the stomach in 1993. He muffled the gun under two pillows so not to awaken his girlfriend. His diminutive size seemed to trouble and haunt him his whole disturbed life....
