Retro-Wednesday....

In or around 1964, My Grandpa took me to the lumber yard to purchase a solid piece of birch wood. In my 8th grade shop class, I made this cutting board. It has been treated with nothing but salad oil over the years, and I never cut meat on the same side that I cut veggies on.
Of course I still use it...

The Weather Outside Is Frightful...

PS. Plus the snow weighted down a tree on my street so bad that it broke some branches on a power line, and we were without power for about 3 hours.
Thank Goodness for a battery-backup sump pump...hehehehe

Hi Everybody....
Saturday was a bit chilly, but it was sunny and clear. So I hauled The Hog out of the garage and hooked the trickle charger to the battery for about 3 hours.
VROOOOOM....Started right up like a good boy!
After enjoying my first ride of the year, I grimaced at the weather forecast for Late Sunday night and Monday....3-5 INCHES OF FRICKEN SNOW!!!!!!
This mornings sunrise is a harbinger of that prediction, "Red sky in the morning, sailors take warning"!!
Winter just won't give up the ghost......

The crime appeared random.
She bled out with barely a whimper.
That cheating bitch deserved it!
His perfection made him smile.
No cell phone, no surveillance, no witness.
The bloody evidence was burried miles away.
But SUDDENLY...Panic engulfed him as he glanced toward his wrist, and the pale outline of his missing Timex!!
