How Sweet It Is......

Today on the Oldies music that was playing in our dealership, the old sad song "LAST KISS" by J. Frank Wilson came on. I mentioned to a few of my co-horts that happened to be listening with me, that the song was originally written and recorded by a Wild White Soul singer named Wayne Cochoran and The C.C. Riders....
They gave me this blank stare like I wuz nuts!
It seems that NO ONE had ever heard of him. Am I THAT old?
Please, do me a favor. Please listen to this You-Tube...
You won't regret it! hehehehe
Tell me if you don't think his hero was James Brown.
Peace...!!!

(Jackie Gleason always opened his weekly variety show by sayin...Ooooh, How Sweet It Is)

Definitely some slick moves not doubt about that. His hair? Well that is something to be desired. I think he could get whipped lashed if he got caught in the wind....LMAO

Interesting dual use of the costume...using the wig that was used to wax the floor so his hips could make those leather sole shoes glide...Was this guy Vanilla Ice's daddy?

Laffin hard at the first comment.

I love this kind of music, and I never heard of this fellow. He looks like Charlie Rich after an accident at a cotton candy factory. It does remind me of the Godfather of Soul, and also a little of Edgar Winter's White Trash.

One look at your blog and i was laughing delightedly at the brain and the little skull n crossboneses. Love it! Do you have someone named Sherman to introduce you, Mr Knowitall?

Thanks for your comment at WG. Plus, I think we are both Shadow fans. ;-)
