Tuesday Trivia......

Many people have said to me recently....
"Galen, I didn't know you were a golfer".
Well, I'm not really a golfer, but I do like to golf.
Please consider this.....
.
IN 1923, WHO WAS:

1. President of the largest U.S. Steel Corp.?
2. President of the largest U.S. Gas Co.?
3. President of the NY Stock Exchange?
4. The greatest wheat speculator?
5. The Great Bear of Wall Street?
.
THE ANSWERS:

1. Charles Schwab (no relation to the stock broker). He died a pauper avoiding bankruptcy!
2. Edward Hopson...He wet insane!
3. Richard Whitney..He was released from prison early to die at home!
4. Arthur Cooger...He died abroad, penniless!
5. Cosabee Livermore...He committed suicide!
.
BUT.....

That same year 1923, Gene Sarazen won BOTH the PGA and the U.S Open in golf!!
What became of him?
He played golf until he was 92.
In 1999 he died at age 95.
He was very financially secure at the time of his death!

The Moral To This Story?.......

FUCK WORK...PLAY GOLF!!!!!

You know if you look at it that way, why not golf? I am not a huge fan of golf but as long as there are not people on my butt to move it along it sure can be fun whacking away at that little white ball. Just doing let there be any water!

I'm not a golfer, but any day when you can play instead of work is a good day.:)

I am seeing the pattern and I agree with you!

My husband isn't a golfer either but he plays now and again and he says it relieves stress and worries so now he has our son playing now and again but I think it is going to be something altogether different for our son because he is addicted to golf big time.

That is a nice picture of you and your golfing gear.

Have a great day!

Did you know that my 1st married last name was Duffer! :D

I have played golf a few times and I was pretty good...so, that name I had to get rid of...LOL

Now my name reflects something completely different and I like it...;)
