Wes asked me if there was something we did special on memorial day and i told him not in my family. we didn't go place flowers or anything, it was just another day. later i learned about our soldiers. i wasn't taught as a child and i told him that is what i thought it was about. it is surreal to see things different today. you know the rose colored glasses have come off...

Our family lost my nephew this year in Afghanistan. Grateful to be American, yes, proud of Bradley's service, yes... happy, hmmm...
