About 5 years ago for Christmas, my kids asked me what I wanted. I remembered how much I loved my galoshes as a kid. They kept your feet dry, they kept the bottoms of your pants dry, and you could wear your regular comfortable shoes!
I hate big heavy cumbersome boots!
Anyway, these are made by the Lacrosse Co. They are not cheap, but they wear really well, and they are Top Notch! I decided to dig these out in preparation for Winters onset. Thanksgiving is a week from tomorrow after all.
Peace...!!!

Galoshes? You speak with forked tongue Tonto! LOL
Would you believe that I've never worn galoshes. Seriously, I'm missing out.
I had galoshes like that when I was a kid. Mine were red. Winter. Yuck.:)
LaCrosse is one of my clients. Glad you like their product. They also manufacture and market Danner boots. All great stuff. I still have rubbers for my dress shoes...to save my soul er, sole.
I have never even seen galoshes! Nice to see you have a good pair and thanks for explaining how you wear them (with shoes)! AHA!
Golashes:
yes they're a great boot kept my feet so warm and dry when I was a young fellow several and I mean several years ago when I lived in Denver Colorado. The state where I learned to hate snow with a freakin passion. Thats why I live in oregon in the summer and California in the winter.

Is this what they meant when we were told to get our rubbers on when it was raining?
Pretty cool. Nothing like that is ever for sale in the south since we have virtually no snow.
rock on. they loock like a good sturdy pair. i remember only one pair of galoshes when i was a kid btu my mom always made us wear those freakin' red rubbers over our shoes when it rained. to make matters worse she snet us to school with a clothes pin bearing our name so we could clip them together when we took them off. gees, i took so much flak as a kid for wearing rubbers to school. and yes, part of it was because in local parlance they were referred to as rubbers, which ya know, was also understood to be something else other people wore over somTHING else to prevent something other than wet shoes.
I love the buckles on these. I remember loving the way they fastened as a kid. jeNN
It's always great to be prepared G!
And can u believe that Gooble day is so close...I still don't know where we are going for food & feast...keep them boots by the door!
Buckle boots, and yellow oilskin rain suits that made you look like a robot.. In winter, same boots, now a snow suit that made you look like a off color Michelin Man... I remember..
Oh yeah, and idiot mittens- had a clip from mittens to suit!
Gosh, I have a thing for a man in work boots or galoshes! No kidding! Got your hard hat nearby? :))
cool boots.
i have 2 pair -- one is black with big white polka dots, the other pair is black and white with a Herringbone pattern to them.
