Retro-Wednesday.....

I've shown old radios before, but this is my Baby!
The German Co. Telefunken started in 1903.
This is one of the very first FM Stereo Receivers, it dates to the Mid-Fifties, I bought it from my late Father-In-Law in the eighties.
It is in PRISTINE condition, and it works just fine!
It is solid wood NOT a veneer, and has a short wave band as well.
Sorry about the poor quality...
Peace...!!!

Wow, that is some radio, a real collector's item. Do you still play it occasionally? Hang onto it!

wow, do you think any radio or iPod made today will still be functioning 106 years in the future? i rather doubt it.

i dig the name telefunken. sounds like you ought to be getting your groove on in a telephone booth.

FM didn't really catch on around here until about 1970..LAV-FM was the station to listen to- Played whatever they wanted! Those days are gone...

I wasn't even in existence in the fifties, y'all had radios back then? We are talking about the stone age right??

Sure you don't have a wind up Victrola? Okay I know I'm being a wise cracker!!

I like looking at your stuff. You have lots of stuff and I enjoy the story behind that stuff. I even learn stuff by reading about your stuff. Oh stuff it, I'm stuffed.
