Friday Flash 55.....

What if.....Your local Meteorologist was a Poet?

"Your hiatus KILLS...My azure dome of tranquility.
The voltage builds, the electrons sweep
The wicked smiles, the revelers weep
HELL....Is on the wing!
I wait, quivering. Not with desire, but with despair. My loyal aide-de-camp..."

Forecast: Mostly cloudy with a chance of severe thunder storms.

Hmmmmm... I'm sure we all know folks like this, don't we?
If you or anyone you know is poetic, or has written a Friday Flash 55
Please come tell The G-Man
I will visit, read, enjoy, comment.....Then BOOK!
So from the most tranquil host from coast to coast
Have a Kick Ass Week-End!!

Funny! We could use poets broadcasting the headline news too. Heck -- everywhere! Poetry rocks.

The blog wizards will take you to mine now... here.

xoxo

Laughing. I wish my weatherman was that poetic.

Here's mine: "Real" Friends

Our weathermen here are not yet that accomplished, but maybe someday...

I'm playin, but if I hear "I don't get your deep impossible-to- understand gibberish' I will just have to withdraw shamefaced and give up.

You can find this week's incomprehensible gibberish...here

Now I'm off to watch my politics shows--be back tomorrow.

I'd watch it! Ha ha. (I think you should apply for the job - be lead anchor!)

Autumn

Brian has us reflecting upon friends... so while I'm at it I'd like to thank you for being a friend :) I look forward to Thursdays and have come to almost type 55 word poems without even trying to!

I think I would tune in more often. And I wouldn't get half as annoyed when the weatherman was completely and utterly wrong. :)

Loved it, Galen!

ha i think if the newscaster was they might actually get more to watch it...just saying...

... AND have the weatherman/poet be "tall, dark, and British"... I think it would no longer matter how accurate he was :)

I wouldn't care of my meteorologist was a poet or not if he / she could give an accurate forecast. Smiles.

Here's my 55:

I try to avoid them. I can only handle so much confusion.

Better yet, what if all the news was delivered as poetry? Or better yet, song? Surely it wouldn't be any worse.

Let's just hope the weather is good for this kitty's Feline Flight

There once was a weatherman who
Drank tequila when skies were too blue
'Cuz beer was too warm
Without snow and ice storms
And now he sees elephants too

Thanks for another Friday 55!
Mine's here. :)
Sorry I was gone last week.

Ha! You captured the wanna be an artist-poet-actor-standup comic that seems to live in most weather announcers! I loved it, G. Have a mild kind of weekend.

Mine is a tribute for a dVerse Poets prompt, written in 55 for you.

I don't do poetry in less than 555 words so I just write the 55's in prose HERE

If my weather man was a poet
I would certainly ask him to show it and tell me
why is Hell never very hot.
why does his nose
always sound plugged with snot?
If its ever too cold in the TV studio
maybe he should have learned traffic too and gone into radio.

I like the idea of the weatherman being a poet!
Here is my contribution for this week: Grappling With Words.

Loved it! I'd never know what the weather was going to be like, but since they're wrong so often, who cares!

I'm late, but mine is HERE.
