Lost Words.....

It's a shame, but I'm afraid that there are certain words that
are destined to be forgotten forever, unless we, The Old Ones,
see to it that they live on in all their archaic glory!!
I'm going to list a few, if you can think of some more, lets hear em...

Icebox
Mimeograph
Davenport
Housecoat
Hassock
Pocketbook
Trousers
Britches
Dungarees
Billfold
Milk Man
Carbon Paper
Paper Boy
Record Player
Reel to Reel
Conelrad

Pantyhose...

I know they are still around but NONE of the young girls wear them. I put some on about a year ago and they thought they were so weird. I felt so dated! :)

Not sure you have all the same words over there that we have over here but here goes

Wireless (radio)
Galoshes (canvas shoes)
Gansy (cardigan)
Cossie (swimsuit)

God that's made me feel old! LOL

Ah, the most simple "argument" Dad and I ever had. "No Dad, they're called JEANS, not dungarees."

And Grandma was Queen of Housecoats. ;) Although, it does seem to fit, pardon the pun, better than Bathrobe.
