Here it is...FAT Tuesday!!!
But is there Jambalaya?
Are there mouth watering Home Made Muffaletta Sandwiches?
NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
And pourquoi you may ask. Thats because the Butt-Holes that provided our
dealership with their desk top calendars this year, got the Fucking Date wrong!!!!
If you'll notice what day they have for Ash Wednesday falling on, it says NEXT Wednesday!
I'm Non-Plussed AND Embarrassed!
My co-workers are extremely disappointed.
I'm STARVING, and there are NO Good-Times rolling today Chere. Grrrrrrrr...
This shit happens a lot when you get to be my age.
But on the bright side, the Dealership DID buy some Paczki's today!!

Here's a bit of a culinary treat for you in honor of Shrove Tuesday (aka Pancake Day)...
I think that I shall never see
A pancake paired with Cornish Tea
A fresh baked scone with clotted cream
Merely a Roman Catholic's dream
Shrove Tuesday / Pancake Day is here
Confession time ~ nothing to fear
St. Pancake says it's meant to be
Feast first and then a fast for me
Pancakes to last the whole day long
I need those carbs to keep me strong
Through forty days and forty nights
A Lenten season marked by rites
Then with a flourish it does end
Rebirth the message that we send
And back to what was meant to be
No pancakes with my Cornish Tea
fondly,
a lapsed Catholic
Helen, your so sweet, just like a Paczki...:-)
Well, you know what they say, G - when you get to our age you're just grateful to wake up in the morning ;)
Can you eat a whole Muffaletta sammich by yourself? They're huge!
I have my monthlies this week, so I may not be able to do a 55. My monthly "Fireblossom Friday" at Real Toads, of course! ;-) What did you think I meant? :-P
so make your goodies for next week. laissez les bon temps roulez a little later
You must limit yourself to ONE Paczki, G-Man, it could have as many as 480 calories!
G-Man, Ima go to Las Vegas this week, but I scheduled a 55 anyway:
He Gives
See you next week!
At least you got one, my old lady wouldn't even let me smell 'em.
Never mind do it next week. ;)
I love Helen's poem. Sigh. I often forget no-meat Fridays and my husband reminds me mid-chew. What do I do? Spit it out or swallow it? :)
