Is There REALLY An Amish Mafia...?

Well...Is there?  The answer to that question is a resounding Hell Yes!
The Amish Mafia is a reality series on The Discovery Channel that
follows the daily exploits of a Lancaster County Pa. group of protectors.
The group consists of it's leader, Lebonon Levi, his right hand man Alvin,
The Enforcer and overall BadAss Jolin the Mennonite, and a 'Wanna-Be'
Gangsta named John. They exact tribute from local business owners, and in
turn protect the owners from outside influences that might affect their Amish Quality
reputations. Most of the scenes are obviously reinacted due to the secretive nature
of their business. But these people are NOT professional actors, and it's obviously
filmed in rural Pa. Before you naysayers disregard this as fantasy, please try and catch
an episode or two. It sure as Hell is more real than Storage Wars or Auction Hunters or
Pawn Stars or Hardcore Pawn or Cajun Pawn Stars.
At the very least, it is brilliantly conceived and marvelously filmed.
Check it out....

Yes, but are they plain?

I will see about watching, as long as it doesn't conflict with "Wipeout"!

Limey... The Amish doesn't sell veracity.
They DO sell butter, eggs, and apple pie though!

Shaysie ... The Discovery Channel plays this series at least 5 days out of 7. You'll be OK.

Brian... I love Moonshiners, but I have to add that those Feds and local cops must be awful dumb!

I'll have to look and see if Amazon has episodes. I really thought you were pulling my leg about that.

Please don't tell my husband about this. O who am I kidding? He'll find it and watch every episode. I just hope it's never exposed as a sham; he was shattered enough when he found out Storage Wars was rigged.

I seen it advertised for the first time just this week...missed it but wanna watch.....yeah those other shows are for entertainment value only and if anyone thinks they are really finding that stuff well they should have their heads examined! I sometimes watch the pawn shows especially the one with ashley she is so bitchy lol. Her and her brother going at it all the time and their dad whoot that man is soooooooooo old lol ! so I will try and see if I can remember to catch the other show.....I'd record it but someone set up our recorder to record "Spongebob squarepants" and a couple others and we cant figure out how to stop them......Mr Gab thought he had it once but no next hour that Spongbob was on it started to record...and man you cant turn the channel when its recording UGH

We'll see how bad ass they are now that they declared war with Ohio. John never would have made it out of MI, someone would have ten ringed his ass before he hit the state line.

The sister raped at 14 by an Amish man--that was a stunning bit.

Let's just say the folks in Lancaster County are questioning the "reality" part...claiming that the "some parts are re-enacted" means the whole show. :)

Didn't help when Alan, the "Black Amish Man" turned out to be an actor with a modeling agency who supplied actors for another "Amish" show, I think on MTV. Once the media got wind of it, all of his websites disappeared.

I know G-man, you're gonna say the Amish Mafia did it. :) Some of it is rather suspect but it can be entertaining.

Now if only I'd never seen "Duck Dynasty", which makes me laugh harder than I'd like to admit. ;)

Now you're gonna claim that Troy Landry ain't the 'King of the Swamp'?
Or that that Paul Jr. and Paul Sr. on American Chopper really DON'T hate each other?

Grrrrrrr.....

I actually made a poster for Hubby's archery shop that said "Troy for President". It featured Troy and I photo shopped our dog Bou's head onto Jacob's body as the V.P. running mate. :) It's also the first page of the shop calendar, with the note, "I STILL think we were a better choice."

I'm glad the Pauls have moved on, although I'll miss Vince and Mikey. See, I'm not quite as hopeless as you thought.

Don't let Hubby get started on how much he thinks reality is "scripted"...or you'll miss half an episode. ;)

ALL B.S. There is no Amish family. These type of shows just exploit a religious group. How many people do you think would be offended if there was a show called 'Muslim Mafia' or 'Baptist Mafia'.
