Sunday 160.....

.
Ben's idea was, if you set the clock ahead one hour
in the Spring, you would save on the amount of
candles used.
It only took about 180 years to be made policy
.
.
REPENT!!!!!!
It MAY be later than you think!!! (By an hour)
Is it Sunday?

So this daylight savings time stuff had to do with farming? Getting in the fields earlier? All the more reason to get rid of farm subsidies for agra-business. Payback!

Not that I am going to lose any sleep over it...but I do have the joy of waking the old lady up an hour earlier than normal. GAHHHHHHHHHH!

Haha...there's three of us so far along my blog travels that did a 160 on the subject. And I've only read 4 blogs so far (if I include my own). :)

We don't put clocks forward until the end of March. Losing an hour's sleep doesn't matter much when you're retired you can just get up an hour later. ;)

So this is all Franklin's fault, eh? He wasn't content with foisting all those folksy sayings on us in his almanac, or getting his face on the money, he had to mess with time, too? Yeesh, I say.

Please tell Ben we have electric lights now, and I'd really like my hour back too.

I don't care what anyone says, I love having the extra hour int he evenings and think we should leave it that way all year.

I'm not using up anybody's candles, so my internal clock would like the time put back the way it belongs.:P

I've never understood the idea of "Daylight Savings Time." We have the same number of sunlight hours" no matter what we do with clocks.
What exactly are we saving? Candles, says Ben? Is this all about conserving candles?
