One Shot Wednesday.....

.

.
Usually decisions...Are made without regret.
But a single moment of weakness
Creates anguish we'ed rather forget!
Never blindly gamble, always hedge your bet.
Never walk a tightrope, without a safety net.
Impulse can cause chaos, devoid of any neatness.
So pray your life does NOT reflect...
A single moment of weakness.

...a progressive triolet, perhaps? LOL. Oh, such wisdom. They really are all pegged with a scarlet letter of sorts, aren't they. Fantastic poem, whatever the style!

The human thinks you've written a very nice poem. (My weakness is PEANUTS!)

Such a conundrum..I revel in some of my single moments of weakness but a few others? Buried deep where they can't be found :)

Haha...enjoyed the photo montage almost as much as your poem. Memories of the rich and clueless. :)

Words of wisdom for the impulse-driven.:)

Damn. That was really smooth. Excellent poetic telling with gambling and circus imagery balancing the voice and emphasizing your point.

Love the photos before the poem. They add so much more. GReat words of wisdom G

Amazing to think just poor judgment separates the losers from the winners--or is it just the bad luck of getting caught? Wise words and trademark snark make for an excellent one shot.

I'm always glad that my mistakes are not shared on an international stage. I liked this poem a lot, Galen.

I am more of a fly by the seat of your pants kind of gal...at least I hope so...luckily there is no danger of me becoming famous, and being the subject of anyone else's blog but my own...Hehehe! Good writing, Mr Knowitall, as usual!

Most mistakes in life are made in a moment of weakness or madness don't you think?

Here's a comment poem for YOU...

Once a young fellow in Michigan
Did long for warm weather to fish again
But with 3 feet of snow
And 20 below
All he could do was just wish again.

Brought to you by Funsterment Global Inc.

And hey -- I have a photo of you in my post today!!

xoxo

what I always tell the grandkids think twice or even three times before acting and think if there is consequences and if so will it be worth the consequences? If not then you know its probably better not to do it.I usually add will gpa and gma be upset? If you answer yes then again you better not do it. So far its been working but there have been a couple of close calls. I'll be glad when grandson is gone (3 more yrs) and Mr Gab and I can do our own thing good or bad.

Aaahhh...nice one, Galen!!
We are how we overcome our weaknesses..aren't we now!?! But pray tell me, how do I get over chocolate!? :)

"Creates anguish we'ed rather forget!" -- i liked this line a lot!!
The "we'ed" in this line -- well - I saw it as a pun! A weakness for some indeed... :)

YOU ROCK, G...as ever!!
Oh.. and if you have the time, here is my one shot for ya to read..

No disambiguation needed here. There is only one G-Man! You are a man of many dimensions, Galen, all of them a delight.
