Retro Wednesday...

.
.
No matter how big and bad they think they've become, My kid LOVES to go fishin with Dad! I've taken him with me since he was 4. Once we were visiting cousins that lived on Lake Champlain, Reese was about 7, he had a can of worms as bait and that kid stayed on the dock fishing for 6 straight hours without moving, except to proudly hold up his fish to me.!!
He turns 21 in October, he's a Junior in College. He DID very well saving money this Summer for the Fall Semester. The times we spent together fishing can never be taken away from us.
I know this is a strange Retro-Wednesday post, but of all the images that I'll EVER take with me to my grave, our times spent together fishing will always make me feel like I've accomplished something in this all too brief existence that we call life..
Peace...!!!

That's beautiful, G-Man!

I bet he will always treasure those times as much as you.

And lots of fishing yet to come for the both of you!

How serindipitous, or however you spell that word -- I just popped in for a quick minute doing some research for my Friday 55. (As I mentioned by next 55 would be for and ABOUT you,) and lo you'd just posted.

Now, what's your favorite football team again?

Wonderful memories, G-Man! Thanks for sharing them.

My own son (almost 14) is more into X-Box than fishing these days, but I still drag him along once in awhile.

Those moments. A 12 lb co-ho camping with me when he was nine. It's alive and treasured although Mike ashes are in Tampa Bay these past five years.

The gift that keeps on giving.

Excellent G-man (dad)

hey galen, thanks a bunch for checking in with me...you really are sweetheart but i promise not to tell anyone ;)
haven't done much in the way of any challenges for a month or so. hubby wanted to pack up and go to a job that was hours away. we'd have to pay the mortgage here still and rent there while he logged a year of federal service, then would return home. call me an ass but i didn't want to go! i told him i would since i love the bugger but i wasn't looking forward to it!
turns out he changed his mind after 6 weeks of following through on all the process! how do you spell relief? take care, my friend, see you on friday ;)

Nice memories...my kids lost interest in fishing, so I have an aging 14ft Starcraft, and a 15horse Evenrude that hasn't been out in a decade...
