TMI Tuesday...

A Mr. Rosie O'Donnell from Kankakee Illinois asks...

"Dear Mr. Knowitall...One of my 'acquaintances' the other day became very ill while we were having a little box lunch, and said that I must have ABLUTOPHOBIA, and ran off gagging!
What the heck is that? And can you fill me in on some other "Phobias" that may be floating around out there that the public may not be aware of"?
Dear Rosie...Of course I can!!
ANTHOPHOBIA...Fear of Flowers
ARACHIBUTYROPHOBIA...Fear of Peanut Butter sticking to the roof of your mouth!
VENUSTRAPHOBIA...Fear of Beautiful Women.
GELOTOPHOBIA...Fear of being laughed at.
ANDROPHOBIA...Fear of Men.
COITOPHOBIA...Fear of Sexual Intercourse.
COULROPHOBIA...Fear of Clowns.
CHOROPHOBIA...Fear of Dancing.
BOZOFRUGOPHOBIA...Fear of Dancing with a Clown!
LUPOSLIPAPHOBIA...Fear of being chased by a Timber Wolf around a Kitchen Table wearing White Socks on a newly Waxed Floor!
GYNOPHOBIA...Fear of Women.
DECIDOPHOBIA...Fear of making decisions.
LINDSAYLOHANPHOBIA...Fear of chicks that can't make a decision about whether they like Women.
EMETOPHOBIA...Fear of Puking.
NOMOPHOBIA...Fear of being out of Mobile Phone Service!
PHAGOPHOBIA...Fear of Swallowing. (I know LOTS of chicks like that)
PHASMOPHOBIA...Fear of Ghosts.
PHOBOPHOBIA...Fear of Phobias.
SCOPOPHOBIA...Fear of being Stared at.
ANATIDAEPHOBIA...Fear of being Stared at by a Duck!
You know Rosie, the list goes on and...Good Question.
But to answer YOUR original question...
(The fear of Bathing)
Mr. Knowitall grows weary, so before I develop SOMNIPHOBIA (Fear of Sleep), and to all you NON-FRANCOPHOBICS... I bid you Adieu!!

Real phobias are sometimes stranger than the fake ones. Fear of haircuts is one I just heard about today.

Gee, I thought ALBUTOPHOBIA was fear of 'all but the kitchen sink'. Just goes to show how little I really know. Thanks for straightening me out. :)

Too funny G-Daddy! Can't say I have too many "fears" or "phobias" ... I do have crowd anxiety. I will go into crowds but I absolutely hate it. It's the fear of not being able to move about freely ... *shrugs*

*huggles the G-Man all up*

Hello KnowitAll,
I come here via Brian Miller's blog. He writes super 55-word stories. I might even try my hand at it. I wanted to see YOUR 55-word stories, but couldn't find them in your archives. Hmmmm.

Akelamalu said...

All those are enough to give a person a phobia! Would there be a name for that? LOL

(Hope I'm not stepping on G-Man's toes by answering here)

Ms. Gibson, just check in Mr. Knowitall's blog archive (via "Older Posts") for the weekly "Friday Flash 55" posts.

Also, in the comments you'll find links to the 55's of others (like myself) who post them there each week.

Hope this helps!
