Thursday Portrait.....
For years I didn't have a paved drive-way.
I had about 75 feet of crushed limestone between my cement approach from the road, and the cement slab in front of my garage. About 10 years ago I got the unpaved part black-topped, and every year I either seal it myself, or have it done.
Yesterday I gave specific instructions NOT to drive on it for 24 hours.
Do you see a faint outline of some tire tracks?
Some people never listen....
On my way home tonight, I stopped at a little Mid-Eastern Mkt. called Kamils. He makes the best Baba Ganush and Hommus for about 3.50 a serving.
He also has several varieties of olives available, and I got some deliciously spiced green ones. The Pita bread has this mixture of olive oil, crushed sesame and savory herbs, and garlic on top. Man is that good! Along with some packs of Sesame Snaps, the total bill came to $15.55.
$15.55??
That reminds me something, I just can't remember what.......
Peace...!!!

I like the way "baba ganush" sounds.
I hope I can up with a 55, 'cuz I knows how to linky now.
Who would do such a thing as make stripes? At least zig zag to give se pizzaz!' thinking thinking. Hmmm
So, are the tire marks there to stay 'til the next sealing? Yikes. I don't like hummus, olives, or garlic, but I hope YOU enjoyed it. I'm not sure what Baba Ganush is, but I might eat it just because it has a cool name.:)
i swear one of those olives is smiling at me.
As I sit here, eating OLIVES, I can't help but wonder if Michigan is too darned far away some days, G-Man.
Thanks for a fabulous reminder that small things can be important!
I can see the tire tracks!
Oh, I love the olive.
I can see the tracks too...
Your blog always makes me hungry! I think the driveway is funny...probably cause I'm the one who never listens :0)
Did I miss the linky class? Oh yeah, it's almost Friday!
Yumm yumm and triple yumm..I love pita bread, olives and dip...devine!
Dude blow up and frame the top picture and give it to the miscreant.
$15.55 is that somehow significant?
Wow, pricey but it sounds gooooood.
Tire marks, huh? Ouch.
nice post, sweetie.
Hugs,
Sue
I never liked olives until about 6 years ago... Now I love them- black or green! Olive oils are my go to oil for cooking...
That is my absolute favorite food - middle eastern / Mediterranean food. I've learned to make hummus, but it always tastes better coming from those markets. The olives look so good!
Who's in trouble for the tyre tracks??
I love olives, I can just eat them on their own, anytime! :)
NOW you're eating!!! lol
$15.55 ... hmmm... did his prices go up?? Is that what you're trying to remember???
lol
smiles,
OH, THANKS A LOT...now I'm salivating over here and I still have 30minutes till lunch and only get 30minutes to eat...sadly not enough time to go get some Baba. :(
Thinking cap is on...
Still, the driveway looks great. I did this last year to a gravel driveway.
Mmmm, olives.
