Fresh and Easy..........
Don't ya just LOVE the Fall, and all of it's Glorious Bounty?
Yesterday I visited a local farm mkt. cause I had a hankerin for some fresh salsa, and some peaches.
The salsa I guess would actually be called Pico de Gaillo...
All I did was finely cut up..
Tomatoes..Red and yellow.
Green peppers
Cukes
Sweet red banana peppers
Green onions
Garlic
Cilantro
An ear of Sweet Corn..
One whole jalapeno pepper, seeds and all for HEAT.
Add a bit of olive oil, and some ground cumin, and serve on Corn chips..VOILA!!
Michigan is the 3rd leading Peach producing state behind California and Georgia. This year the crop is OUTSTANDING!
I cut up and peeled about 8 Peaches and put them in a caserole dish with about a 1/2 cup of maple syrup drizzled over the top...
In a separate bowl I added..
1 cup oats
1 cup of brown sugar
1/2 cup of flour
1 stick of butter.
I cut the butter into the mix, dumped it over the Peaches, and baked it at 375 for about 45 minutes.
The top got all crunchy and gooey...And with a dollop of Breyers Vanilla on top??
I can tell you this, there is NOTHING left.
Oh...I only had about a 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamin, so I grated up some nutmeg and added it to the mix.. Nobody seemed to care!
Needless to say, I'm fasting today....hehehehe
Have a Great Week...
Peace...!!!

I loooove farmers's markets! And I'm surprised to hear Michigan's so good for peaches, I had no idea.
Why am I hungry all of a sudden?
The Georgia peaches have been good this year, too. On ice cream, cereal, cobbler - your cobbler sounds incredible.
Salivating over the salsa, too!
All sounds yummy m'dear. x
I had no idea you were so big on peaches!
Looks good. I would have never guessed that Michigan is third in peaches. It just seems to up north and cold to me. Learn something new every day :) Aloha
At first glance, I thought this post was about me . . .
I had no idea that Michigan produced peaches. I'll have some cobbler, please!
Those pics are kinda blurry. Sugar buzz or too many brewskies at the big game?
I love salsa, exept for cilantro which tastes liek a dead, rotten thing to me.
But no one will ever convince me that any other peach holds a candle to a Georgia peach.
Oh, yeah, the crisp. No wonder it all disappeared.:)
so yummy. our peaches here have been lousy. i missed having good peaches this year.
I love a good peach crisp. Oregon and especially Portland have consistently decent peaches.
I love it, at the farmer's market, when the peaches are ripe and they draw you in to buy with samples, peach juice dripping off their hands.
