Sunday Sound-Off.......
Hi Everybody....
All is well this GLORIOUS Week-End so far.
All is well except for one little thing....
I know this might sound trivial.
I know this might sound a bit anal.
But I would like you all to either consciously, or subconsciously, start paying close attention to almost ALL television fast-food commercials.
THEY FAKE EAT!!!!!...Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Oh they might look like they are enjoying that Wendy's Spicy Chicken sandwich, but they are chewing AIR!
That starving guy might look as though he is feasting on a KFC Extra Crispy Chicken thigh, but he is chewing AIR!
Why for the love of Billy Mays, must we be subject to Untruth in Advertising?
This really bothers me, can't they find some starving guy that can do 30 takes on eating a Hardy's Thick Burger?...I CAN!!
This little irritation has been building up now for quite a while.
I feel much better now...
Thanks...:-)
Isn't blogging wonderful?
Peace...!!!

Of course I don't get to see your commercials but I'll take your word for it G-man. Grrrrrrr!!
You learnt about that NOW? I always knew that :D
They have to fake it because it's fake food! Or, so I hear.
all those skinny models would wind up weighing 300 pounds if they ate their way through 30 takes. but i think they should all be forcefed until they look more like flesh and blood people and less like skeletal clothes hangers anyway.
Are you under the impression that only fast food commercials are unrealistic?
Well, I'm certainly glad you got that off your chest and hope you feel better now!:)
Possibly if marketing peoples told the truth nobody would buy their stuff. :))
Glad your having a good weekend! :))
How about the past Subway commercials featuring that dork Jarod?
If he could lose all that weight eating Subway subs (which are awful by the way) - then there's hope for all the obese people in the world. Right?
Turns out the guy NEVER was overweight.
Yes, blogging is truly wonderful! :-)
okay, never thought about this before...
Well I reckon most things about ads are fake :-)
By the way, I enjoyed doing your Flash 55 at the weekend. I've been doing flash for a couple of years, but never regulated myself to an exact word count. It was fun.
I think I gained two pounds just LOOKING at that picture. I once saw an Albert Brooks movie called "Defending Your Life", where he dies and goes to the afterlife. In the afterlife, he can eat all he wants and never gains any weight. Talk about heaven!
...and i doubt that paris Hilton woould ever be caught stuck in a drive through line at whatever chain that burger (of which their actual product is no where near similar) comes from.
Fake Eat, LMAO. they sure do!
I guess it bothers me more when you see pictures of the food.. Sometimes it isn't even food! Other times it's food that has been literally varnished, to make it look prettier. If I ever get a fast food hamburger as good looking as the ad, I'll let you know!
More food blogging from Gman, I love it!
I hate when the fake eater opens mouth, sticks out tongue and places the fork on tongue, then draws fork and tongue back into mouth, all the while smiling. Then they begin to fake chew....hate it!
Lets get that man vs food guy to do all food commercials, and Andrew Zimmerman too!
now how the hell are those lucrative advertising company's going to make eating out attractive if they allow nothing but real people eat the foods they are trying to sell? And by real you know I mean like you and me!! I am 75 pounds over weight and i love fast food, it is an addiction and it is very hard to stay away from so how attractive is it to sell fat!! It is not and it does not sell unless it is a slim fast commercial and even those use skinny people. I saw one where the girl was complaining about being a size 10, are you freaking kidding me a 10 really you PIG!! what i would give to be a size 10 today.
but you are right they should at least eat the food, i mean they're just going to throw it up in 5 minutes anyway so why fake it!!
Oh man...should of known. I always thought that they had a "spit" bucket next to them somewhere and didn't swallow...LMAO.
xo
mmm looks....yummmy.... ;-)
