Retro Wednesday...

Do any of you remember these?
You clamp the clip to grounded metal, and slide the tip of the radio up and down to pick up local AM broadcasts. Over the years I replaced the small ear phone with a bigger ear piece.
Yes, I've had this since 1960, and of course it still works...
Peace...!!!

That's a very cool-looking radio. But AM only? I can't even think when is the last time I listened to an AM station.

Never saw one of those G...but I am curious, at what age did your ears get bigger where you needed a larger earpiece? Was the small on falling out?

YES, of course I do. Try again. You can fool all of the people some of the time and some of the people all of the time. But can't fool me.

I guess you had to be a "geek" back then, because I never saw them. But I love old radio's...I have a few old portables...ummm, might have to gather them up and take a pic! I'm also an "am talk show" freak... ;)
