Easter 55..........

Easter was always a wonderful Holiday at our house growing up.

You could over indulge in whatever you gave up for Lent.

Over indulge in a fantastic Easter dinner.

And......The Candy!!!!!!

But, if you were bad, you got potatoes in your hat!

I've had this Easter Basket since I was three....

Happy Easter Everyone....

I had Easter bonnets as a child, but nobody ever put potatoes in them. Thank you for a really yuggy thought.:)

Getting potatoes in your hat?

Sounds ultra-dirty to me...

Lots does, though.

Anyhow, I haven't written a 55 yet, but I am going to try even though I am on vacation.

It might be a really late entry, however.

Oh well.

Oh Gman that is just so sweet that you have your Easter basket from childhood. We used to get new ones every year because we kept them and used them to carry toys, kittens, and other important stuff around in.

Have a lovely Easter Gman!

How can anybody keep a basket that long? Seems like ours always got crushed somehow.

My tardy 55 is up finally.

OK I was coming sniffing around looking for something to eat. It's Easter weekend, isn't it?
I KNOW you have something yummy in that kitchen!

I love the basket and I think that it is wonderful that you have kept it all these years.

Not many people mention Lent anymore but we still do Lent. I am so proud of all three of my kids because each one of them gave their favorite food/drink up for Lent and actually stuck to it this year.

Hope you and your family have a Blessed Easter this year!

` Cool! Wait, you got potatoes in your hat? I don't get it, but whatever.
` That's sooo cute, your little Easter basket after all these years! I never did have Easter with everyone else growing up. I had to pretend!
