Friday Flash 55.....

Flora Giganticus was the best gardener in Rome.
The Spring of 43 AD was perfect for Strawberries.
One plant had a berry larger than a Pumpkin!
This crimson giant attracted many admirers. And soon
the Emperor wanted it for himself. When the Centurians
arrived they shouted..."We've come to seize your berry,
NOT to praise it!"

Thank you, Thank you very much....
Beware The Ides of March!!
If you or anyone you know has written a Friday Flash 55
Please come tell The G-Man
I will visit, read, enjoy, comment....Then BOOK!!!
So from the most gracious host from coast to coast.
Have a Kick Ass Week-End!!

  2. I am out of town trying to avoid those nasty Ides of March myself. Stopped climbing the walls long enough to share 55 words with my friends though. Have a kick ass weekend G!

  15. This is great! Thank you for a wisely witty nod to the Ides of March, a day that has significance in my household. My divorce from ex-husband just happened to be final on March 15. Then, over a decade later I met my now-husband whose divorce from his ex-wife fell on the same day. So we don't beware, we beamazed!

Mine is Fedelmid and Crundmáel- a jump ahead of St. Patrick's Day. Happy weekend to you!

I knew a Flora Giganticus back East. Best clogger I ever met too. Sadly she took to the drink and clogged all over her strawberry patch and nary a plant survived.

  38. Galen: OOOOOOHHHHHH. Boy that thing is big.

Didn't get a 55er written. Sister in law is only given a month to live. Heading down to Florida. Tough time.

Will aim for week after next to write a scary one.

    Best, D
