A woman's worst nightmare, one made for a Hemlock Hi-Ball (that is so clever!).
ReplyDeleteThe last time I heard the term Hi-Ball was when I was a little kid and my stepfather was a bartender in a Reno casino. It was one of the drink names that perplexed me, along with Grasshopper and Tom Collins!
I'm back this week. Have a great weekend!

Hi there G-Man,
ReplyDeleteI smiled at your post, karma is a biotch...LOL
Haven't taken part in one of these for a while, thought I'd give it a go this week though. :)
Here's my 55 Enigma
Thanks.
High Balls! I've heard of 'em. Unfortunate name for an adult beverage I presume.
ReplyDeleteFinally made it up this morning. My little work of art can be found HERE
I totally like dark! I thrive on it!
ReplyDeleteHere is mine:
dead woman returns
That is a classic pic my friend, and you've written an ode to the woman scorned which I for one will toast with a high ball--hemlock is minty fresh, too.
ReplyDeleteSorry not to play this week--you are always a cheeseburger in paradise, not chopped liver--but I've had a computer for about three hours over the last three days, and that gazelle, or ghazooki or whatever liked to waste every brain cell I had. I'll be bock.
fun play on the pic and the rhyming cat gave the 55 a go as well.
ReplyDeleteOhhhh, hemlock! As good as arsenic! You lethal devil, you.

Have a riotously fun weekend!
When my parents had parties and my sisters and I could only eavesdrop from the stairwell or from under the table, they mixed highballs and plucked ice cubes from the ice bucket with fancy tongs and played the piano and sang and danced. In looking back, I think they had more fun at their parties then we do nowadays.
ReplyDeleteHemlock highballs are an evil thought which makes for a bloody good 55.
I had a minute between pulling and beets and picking basil and thought I'd say hi.
Revenge is best served cold (and wet in a Hi-ball glass! LOL
ReplyDeleteMine's up.
Great one! -your mind is so evil sometimes-
ReplyDeleteI am having trouble with getting on line, may try to one tomorrow.
If not have a great weekend!
Good gracious - a little venom in that one!
ReplyDeletehere's mine http://thesilenceoftheday.blogspot.com/2011/08/dance.html
ReplyDeletehave a great weekend
HA! You and I are on similar wave lengths. I couldn't contain my poem "The Date" to 55 words though! Busy moving kids into dorms... Hope to play next weekend.
ReplyDelete... it's EXPENSIVE for them to "move out!"
Awesome - I love the point you make. I'm sure it applies, most of the time....
