The very mention of the word, never fails to
bring a wry little half-smile to your face. It sounds
so Elizabethanly Ribald! And let me tell you, Sour
Sour Sour!

There are some words that are just fun to say - especially if you say them many times in a row. Kumquat is definitely on that list.
ReplyDeleteAwww, you're sweet enough to counteract the sourness, Galen! ;)
It us truly one of those words. Fun 160, G. Thanks for playing along.
ReplyDeleteI have never eaten a kumquat. Ever. Really. I have this thing about fruits with chewy skin - ewww...
ReplyDeleteBy the way, were you wearing your glasses when you visited me? Aardvark? Really? Everyone knows it's a fruit bat...
(And Talon, my favorite word to say repetitively until it's gibberish is "spaghetti").
Happy weekend!
hehe...sour, we maybe the real thing up also metaphorically a little spicy...lol. nice 160 G!
ReplyDeleteYou have a way with the lowly kumquat, my friend. I now feel sorry for its sour life of mockery and rejection. But I'm still not eating one.
ReplyDeleteCan't say as I've ever had a kumquat.
ReplyDelete*snort*
Yeah, it doesn't sound right, does it? ;)
You have a dirty mind - but I kind of like that in a man! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for your lovely supportive words on my blog this week. You are a diamond.
Pucker up!
ReplyDeleteGotta love a good kumquat in a spicy curry dish, says she, the chef :-)

Kumquat is one of those fun words to say, but I've never eaten one. Since I generally avoid sour stuff, I probably never will try one.
ReplyDeleteif ever i were to own a dog i'd name it quat so i could call, "come, quat!"
ReplyDeleteHi. I'm tring the 160 for the first time this week. I know I'm a day late, but I had technical problems last night. I was beginning to think Blogger had turned on me :-) I like your 160. Kumquat, and really all sorts of images come to mind, don't they? Thank you.
ReplyDeletekumquat is very teehee worthy.
ReplyDeleteBut sour? Take them back.
Everyone I've tasted, and I've tasted a few, is sweet with very little hint of tart in the young fruit's skin. OR maybe I'm just a little weird and like sour in my citrus.
Fantastic 160 - don't know how I missed it yesterday.
They are awkwardly named.
