A growing eerieness is approaching.
Stillness envelopes Everything.
The hair on your neck bristles.
You hear the staccotto of distant hail getting louder.
HELL...Is On The Horizon!!!
A garage floats by in slow motion.
Freight Train
Blackness
Vortex
Death is Calling
Then suddenly.....Silence!!!
Sunshine
Muffled Screams
Sirens
Tears

.

    Well said. It comes fast and it leaves slow. It's not just the shock and the immediate loss, which are bad enough, but then everything has to be rebuilt and replaced.Thanks for reminding people.

    Worst tornado season in over 100 years I hear tell. Devastating. Where should we send money? Japan? Haiti? The tornao belt? Very, very sad that one of the worst years for storms is also the worst year for finances for many of us.

    You describe it like you've been there. I live in earthquake country and have gone through two major quakes plus a gazillion lessor ones, and I'll keep my earthquakes. Tornadoes are too horrifying. Thank you for the reminder to pray for those who suffer at the hand of Nature.

    We get tornadoes over here but somehow they are never as devastating as the ones you guys in the States have. My heart goes out to everyone who was in the path of the latest ones. I can't imagine the terror.

    This is a very spine chilling poem and I LOVE how Sunshine is just popped into the middle of it! This might be one of my favorites I have seen you write. Chilling. I am hoping to get a late 55 in today. But these darn kids might just have me hopping to much this week what with graduations and end of school events. Sheesh - don't they realize I have things to do! :)

    I will most likely just peruse through all my blogger friends blogs tonight - I have a lot of catching up to do.
