Thursday Portrait.....

.
.
About 20 miles North of Flint, there's a quaint German village by the name of Frankenmuth. It used to be the site of one of the 8 Carling Black Label breweries. But now it is famous for Broasted Chicken Dinners, and Bronner's Christmas store. The store is much larger than a Football field, and employs over 500 people. You can read about it ..Here!
Anyway, this past Monday when I arrived at work, on my desk was a box from Bronner's. Much to my DELIGHT, when I opened it this beautiful mug was inside. Just then, our store's general manager Mark Janowiecki popped into my office and said that he and his family were in Frankenmuth on Sunday, and this mug was SCREAMING My name!! He knows what a Michigan fan I am, and said "Merry Christmas a bit early".
Of course he left the price tag on the bottom, $14.95...!!!
It's nice to be loved.. hehehe
Now I'm sure there's something I need to do for Friday...
If I could only remember what... Hmmmmmm
Peace...!!!

  1. What a nice boss. You sure you read the price correct and it wasn't $14.55? Just asking. Warriors open tomorrow. I predict 55-27 UH. See ya Friday

  6. Nice! My boss never gives me anything but MORE WORK. :)

I know I said I'd post yesterday...got home to no TV/Cable/home phone...disconnected all night. Ugh. Today, though. I promise. :)

  13. We have some friends who live in Ann Abor and they sent us some T-shirts recently. One of them was a Wolverines shirt. I chose a plain one that just says "Michigan". I shall wear it with pride this week for the start of the season!

  17. I am sure you will enjoy drinking your coffee ( or beer, maybe? ) out of this mug! Somehow, it will taste much better, win or lose, out of a Michigan mug.

  18. Cool coffee mug.

(But there is something hugely ironic about the supposed emphasis on Christ when it's all about a commercial enterprise.)
