Friday Flash 55.....

RIIIIING!!!
'Hello'...
"Hi Daddy"
'Hi Dolly, hows it going'?
"Guess what?...I'm engaged"!!!
'OH.....To who'?
"Stop it, you know...And he gave me a ring, a diamond"!
'Mandy, go to the closest window and see if it cuts glass'.
"Daddy"!!!!!
'OK....Dolly I love you with all my heart, if you're happy, I'm happy'!
.
This was an actual conversation I had with my daughter today.
She works part time for the State, and he works part time at a coffee house...
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
If you or anyone you know has written a Friday Flash 55, please come tell the G-Man. I will visit, read, enjoy, comment..... then BOOK!!!
Have a Great Week-End!!

  13. Limey dear, it is the usual case. Even if the would be son in law is a millionaire, the would be father in law will always be 'less than impressed'
In fact he would be scornful!

This is the way of the world. This is how fathers are about their beloved daughters, when they are about to break the whichever cord it might be called.their ears cock up & their noses become extra sensitive & their eyes extra sharp ( in fact so sharp that they start seeing extra things ( not good of course))

& this happens to Mama Bears too when their sons announce their engagements!

If I were him I think I would come driving up to borderes and catch a coffee with you. That or Tim Horton's but I do not know if I have ever heard of you going INTO a Hortons.
