Friday Flash 55.....

Sometimes you wonder.....
Do the affluent people buying those huge gas-guzzling SUV's actually pay
attention to the price of gas?
Do the Goobers in the blog "The People of Wal-Mart", know how ridiculously
gross they look to others?
Does Michelle Bachman know how stupid she sounds?
Why do some people never know when to STOP.......Or Let Go?

Fortunately, some people DO know when to let go.........
If YOU know when to let go, or have written a Friday Flash 55
Please come tell The G-Man
I will visit, read, enjoy, comment.....Then BOOK!
So from the most gracious host from coast to coast
Have a Kick Ass Week-End!!

  1. Ha, it seems that those who buy the gas guzzling cars pay no attention to the price of gas. Not only the SUVs....but some of those monster trucks. I guess it is just different strokes for different folks!

    Here is my 55:  Sleepless

  2. Yes, some people do look or sound ridiculous. At least, they make us smile. Maybe this is their mission!
I hope I do know when to let go - at least most of the time - and I have written a 55. Here is my weekly offering: Jailed.

  3. PS - If these guys had to pay as much as we do on the other side of the ocean, they might buy smaller cars.

  5. I was feeling a bit ucky when I got here, but after that second pic, I am now officially sick. And that last picture was the scariest of all--that's not a family, it's a middle school.

I got nothing tonight G(but a fever) but if I am revived by some slumber, will try to post something tomorrow.

  7. One day my son and I were walking into Walmart when he started mouthing off about the goobers. I pointed out that we were probably the oddest looking people there right then.

  10. I'm still trying to figure out that second photo. WTH IS that??!!

I was talking with an affluent friend the other day -- she never cares about where she buys gas, or the price. What the heck, again.

    happy party day!! xo

  11. They tend to stick with their own kind, where by the standards of their companions, they're just fine.

That's my theory, at any rate.

    Here's mine: Terlingua Afternoon

  12. This reminds me, I haven't been to People Of Wal-Mart in a long time. I should probably go there and look around again, just to make sure I'm not up there. ;)

    Thanks for another Friday 55!
Mine's here, where I tell the tale of the Great Hairy Chicken Incident of 2014.
    Partially fiction, partially true.

  17. If they desire an SUV and can afford it, they don't bother about their gas price. Thanks G-Man.

  23. In Europe gas prices are higher so we drive smaller cars that are more fuel efficient. Simple. But on a more positive note: http://journeyintoelderhood.blogspot.it/2014/03/a-runners-55.html

  30. Hi! Don't have anything in 55 words but I wanted to stop and say hello. As to your questions....MB has no idea how silly she sounds or she would go away. And people who buy those vehicles probably don't even pump their own gas.

Have a great week! I promise I'm still lurking.

  31. I actually knew someone with 19 children… and was amazed at how organized everything was - and honestly, how well behaved all the kids were. I only had 2 at the time and mine were little hellions (I was embarrassed ;)

  32. Oh no....is that car a cad? ha ha cause that was what I was looking at to buy...and yeah I didn't think about gas I thought it used about the same as my Durango does. all I wanted was something better looking that what I have I mean after all my Durango is like a 1999 and rusty and falling apart so I wanted something new with 3rd row seating and I seen this cad that looked like it would fill the bill. Crap now you have made me feel like 2 inches tall! hehe Guess I will keep looking
