Friday Flash 55.....

He knew the End was near.
His breathing became laborious.
He could see himself laying in bed from above.
Last night his mother visited him. (She died in '77')
He only had enough strength for one final word.
He motioned for his Son to come near.
He whispered.....Poontang! Then died.
(Rosebud was already taken)

If you have never seen Citizen Cane, you must think this was stupid.
Hell...Even if you HAVE seen it you might think this was stupid.
Have you ever wondered what your final words would be?
Something other than....LOOK OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you or anyone you know is stupid, or has written a Friday Flash 55
Please come tell The G-Man
I will visit, read, enjoy, comment.....Then BOOK!
So from the most stupidly gracious host from coast to coast
Have a Kick Ass Week-End...

  2. Final last words..."I hope there's coffee where I'm going?"

But maybe I won't care. Either way, I'm pretty sure no one will make a movie starring Orson Welles about it--at least I freakin hope so.

I'm playin, cuz...I had another dream...

(Daddy G, why are all the other children running away?)

  3. Actually, "look out!" has some appeal as my last words. Might it not mean I became a hero?

  4. I'm laughing over here, Galen! :)

Last words? Hmmmm...never really thought about it. Probably mind would be, "Seriously? I'm going now??"

  5. It would be great if my last words could involve a duck-billed platypus somehow.

Either that or I could just gasp "Get.. off.. my... air hose..."

    Thanks for another Friday 55!
    Mine's here. :)

  6. I suspect most of won't even know when we're saying our last words. Too bad, because we might've said something profound.

Mine ties in to your Citizen Kane theme just a bit: Coming Attractions

  11. Oh dear--I've been feeling a bit gloomy as this month marks the first anniversary of my father's passing. I'm really rather glad that poontang wasn't his last word, but this did make me laugh.

  21. Oh yes, I am stupid in far too many ways, but only in love and war so it matters not one whit, right?

    Makes me think National Lampoontang.

I enjoyed the Hearst Castle that one time I got to see it. It appears in dreams sometimes, tho.

    happy FRIDAY!! whooofreakinhoo..

  22. I think it's pretty funny- myself - I'm not such an Orson Welles' fan - a little humor could have lightened that thing no end.

I am late -sorry--semi-migraine today - Let me tell you all aobut it!

    Hope you are okay! k.

  23. THIS has nothing to do with last words . . .

  24. I'm rather sure that mine fits the stupid requirement, as everything I write is fairly stupid. And late too!

However your prompt did help us get back on track with a story line, so--cool!
I'm quite sure my last word won't be "poontang." Now with my luck, I'll say something stupid like "my poontang itches" just before I kick the bucket.

  25. I know Helena already submitted a late one for the Netherworld team and we usually try not to double-team any of our writing prompts. But my milkshake is better than Helena's!
I really need to stop picking on Helena. She has friends in low places who could put the hurt on me. I just couldn't resist sharing this one. I think you'll get a kick out of the picture!
