Friday Flash 55.....

He emplored her...
"Dolores please, just let me try it on for a little while?"

Under the onslaught of his incessant pleading, she relented..
"God Ed, stop your groveling! You could always buy your
own Angora sweater ya know. Besides, I don't mind sharing
my wardrobe, but they always come back smelling like
Old Spice!"

Dolores Fuller was Cross-Dressing movie director Ed Woods
girlfriend and leading lady during the early 1950's. she died
last week in Las Vegas at age 89.
If you or anyone you know has written a Friday Flash 55
Please come tell The G-Man
I will visit, read, enjoy, comment...Then BOOK!!!
So from the most gracious host from coast to coast...
Have a Kick Ass Week-End!!!!

  2. That's a great tribute to a cult figure. Ed Wood and his leading lady, Delores. Good Show. And as I am sure they said at Delores' funeral "That's a wrap."
    HERE is my 55.

  3. If my clothes came back smelling of Old Spice, it would be a great excuse to buy new ones.

Have a great weekend all! Mine's up.

  10. This reminds me... my husband wore a fabulous white "Marilyn Monroe" dress once. (I have photos... it would make a GREAT 55!) It was for CHARITY I would like to make that clear. However, when the dress was offered to me to keep, I had to decline as I refused to wear a dress that my husband's waist line looked better in than mine. He still has a 30" waist and I had just had a baby at the time...

  11. Hahaha...now I'm thinking about my husband trying to wear my clothes...lol!

Hey, sadly I didn't have my camera with me, but I had to get gas today and when the pump kicked back to say I was full, guess how much I owed? $51.55! I am NOT even making that up. The people at the gas station probably wondered why I was laughing...and I'm not making that up, either. :)

So I'm in. Mine is Here.

  12. Poor Dolores!

It takes extra fabric softener to remove the smell of Old Spice.

  38. How sad! I didn't know Dolores died last week.

Oh, and Ed and those Angora sweaters.
I must be the only person in the world who doesn't mind Old Spice.

Someone mentioned the Johnny Depp movie about Ed Wood. It was good but not as good at Wood's movies. I must confess, we might actually have a few on DVD for those nights when only campy sci-fi will do.

    Happy weekend, G-Man!

Well, my 55 is up. You can find it here
