Before there was Vince and the "Slap Chop".
And The Rotato
And The Showtime Rotisserie.
And The Ped-Egg.
And The Snuggie...
.
There was The Ginsu!!!
First introduced in 1978, it was the predecessor to ALL Info-Mercials!
It could slice food paper thin, and still cut thru metal.
And NEVER need sharpening!
As you can see mine still works GREAT after 30 years!!
Peace...!!!
.
(I have a Pocket Fisherman somewhere but I can't find it, Grrrr...)
slice that can THEN slice a tomato without making it mush, that's the trick! hehehehe

ReplyDeleteHeck, I remember all the various and sundry Ronco infomercials from back when I was a kid. And don't even get me started on K-tel. . .
ReplyDeleteI had one of those! Actually, now that I think of it, I still do. And I´ve never sharpened them! :-)
ReplyDeleteEugh! That lady looks like she has some major foot warts! I know because I have too... and then I got this cheese grater thing, and I was able to really get in there and douse the bastards with Compound W! Worked like a charm. Thanks, cheese grater thing!
ReplyDeleteAnd don't forget the Bass-O-Matic!
Have you ever watched the slap-chop
ReplyDeletecommercial/infomercial? I swear to you, the guy adamantly declares,
"YOU'LL LOVE MY NUTS!"
