Friday Flash 55.....



Day's...Month's...Years?
He had lost all track of time.
It WAS such a lovely place!
Mirrors on the ceiling, Pink Champagne on ice.
But over and over, each evening the same...
"Good Night" said the night man.
"We are programmed to receive. You can check out anytime you like...
But you can NEVER leave"!

    G-Man, that is one of my favorite song lines: "You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave." There is a bar scene in the Jack Nicholson version of The Shining. I hear that line every time I see it. It's just so Hotel California.

    I have always thought that song is so sad... A ghost hotel that won't let you leave...
    But then again if you have to be stuck somewhere, why not at a lovely hotel that serves you pink champagne? ;) I can imagine worse prisons...
