TMI Tuesday.....

As you may have guessed, The G-Man aka. Mr Knowitall, is a creature of habit. I have Friday Flash 55, Retro-Wednesday, and Thursday Portrait. Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday are pretty much up for grabs, although I did for a brief period of time have Porcine Monday, and TMI Tuesday. I think I'll revive TMI Tuesday for a while....

OK, this is what I have in mind for today. I'm going to give you, my faithful minions, 3 useless pieces of common knowledge that you may or may not already know. What I would like from you, in my comment box, is ONE useless piece of info that you know off the top of your head, WITHOUT GOOGLING!! It could include; Food, History, TV, Movies...WHATEVER!!

Ready..?

1. Do you know where Arby's got it's name? Arby's, R.B.'s=Roast Beef?
Get it? R B's?

2. Contrary to popular belief, Lake Superior is NOT the largest freshwater lake in the world. Lake Baikal in Siberia, has more fresh water by volume, than all of the Great Lakes Combined!!

3. Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, AND Jeff Beck all played lead guitar for the early 60's rock group The Yardbirds. (Although not at the same time)

Your turn....C'mon, you have one tid bit of useless info roiling about inside that head of yours...

Peace...!!!

  1. Um -- a hedgehog isn't actually a hog at all. How's that for a useless tidbit?:-)

I'm having a "Duh" moment over Arby's. I never put 2 and 2 -- or R and B as the case may be -- together before.:)

  3. the island of trinidad was so named by christopher columbus on his 3rd voyage to the new world. he had decided whatever land mass he bumped into would be named for the holy trinity. upon seeing the 3 peaks of the southern mountain range he felt it was confirmed by god.

  23. No, my favorite is Mr.Marble Eyes = Perchpike (walleye). A Goggle Eye is a Rock Bass. I'm really surprised you didn't know that, you being an old angler. Maybe your just rusty. We should wet a line this summer.
