Hi Everybody....
I was casually surfing some vintage web sites yesterday, when I came across some familiar items. After rummaging around the garage for a bit I came across a bag with some old medicinal bottles inside. The Dr. Edwards Olive Pills are from the 40's. The Tums and Dental Floss dispensers are from the 50's.
And NO, I do NOT still use them..
(Although I could..hehehehe)
Peace...!!!
Yahtzee!
ReplyDeleteTums are that ancient? :)
ReplyDeleteOf course you could use them...at your own risk!! :D :D
Galen & co. it is Breazy's birthday today!
ReplyDeleteI bet u have lots of interesting stuff lying around there! (They would never survive in my house!)
ReplyDeleteYou know I'm a bear today (and for the foreseeable future). I could make some wicked (but enjoyable!) use of some of that stuff.:-)
ReplyDeleteshit! what else are you hiding in that garage of yours....
ReplyDeletei can't believe some of the stuff you have squirreled away! you got any of carter's little liver pills too?
ReplyDeleteOh man...I remember my grandmother having Carter's pills in a metal container...LMAO
ReplyDeleteI am sure the tape would fall apart as soon as you pulled on it.
Thanks for the reminder Mona! I knew it was coming up ;o)
Wow wee, ya learn somethin' new every day! I thought floss was an 80's invention, ya proved me wrong man :)
ReplyDeleteYesterday I did see an old tin..it was from Elastoplast..a band-aid type of thingy we have here (maybe you have it there too?). Anyway, I love those sort of things, Being a nurse and all, take care :)
Dental floss from the 80's.... sounds cool!
ReplyDeleteI think the oldest patented medicine I've had that actually works, is Doan's pills...
ReplyDeleteConfession: I can't come to your blog without having to say, "...and now it's time for...Misterrrr Knowitallllll!!!!"
ReplyDeleteOld tins and things are interesting. I have a little metal advert sign as a key chain. I bought it at a blitz museum in London, where you walk around and the street is on fire, til you get to the gift shop. Anyway, my keychain thingie advertises Baldwin's Nervous Pills. I can use some!
Remember old is better.
ReplyDeleteare you telling me that after eating the BBQ you don't floss or need a tums, man you must have a leather gut!!!
ReplyDeleteJust HOW BIG is this garage that houses all your retro stuff??? :0
ReplyDeleteYou know who else isn't using that floss? Those models that eat air! :P

These bring back memories of my mom's medicine cabinet...not the same items, but similar style of packaging. Man, that's a long time ago, I must be older than I feel. :))
ReplyDeleteI was surprised about the Tums, too!
ReplyDeleteAmazing what you have stashed in that house!
ReplyDeleteMay your memory never fail Galen...all of this history would be lost in bags and boxes buried around the property.
ReplyDeleteWhat do the olive pills do? I love olives.
