Retro Wednesday.....

Hi everybody...I know I did a candy bar thing a while back. But while looking for something today, I came across my "Mallo-Cup" money that I used to save in the 60's. If you saved 500 points, they would send you 10 free candy bars. These cards are probably from about 1962!
While googling a Mallo-Cup pic, I read that they still have the "Mallo Money", but now they only send you a dollar for 500 points...What a Jip!!!
Anyway...here is my Retro contribution for the week.
.
Peace...!!!

  1. Did you ever save Tootsie Pop wrappers with the star? Supposedly you could save them and send them in and get something ... money ... a free sucker ... I'm not sure. I know lots of people who say they saved them, but no one actually ever sent them in. Besides, where would you send them? Weirdness.

  2. I remember Mallo Cups -- but not the "money." It's astonishing that you still have it after all these years. I don't even have Monopoly money left.:)

  3. You're from Michigan- Do you remember Be-Mo potato chip points? A local kid show in G.R. in the late fifties-early sixties made a big deal out of redeeming them...

  6. Hi,

My name is Bob and I write a blog called CandySnob (www.candysnob.com), and my grandfather actually started Boyer Candy, so I'm always thrilled to hear of Mallo Cup fans. My mother actually has the full original set of Mallo Cup money framed in her office.

You can also get Mallo Cups at www.ilovemallocups.com
