Friday Flash 55......

From the very first time that you try it, the addiction begins! Once you experience the exhilaration, you are hooked! As in anything, at first you become a whore to it, you CAN'T get enough! Then, as in anything...
The frequency wanes.
Quality becomes unimportant.
Passion is just a distant memory.
Blogs go unattented..
Blogs die.....
.

Have a GREAT week-end everybody, if you or someone you know has written a Flash 55, please let me know, I will be over to read, enjoy, and comment..
.
Peace....!!!

  1. You forgot to mention that blogs get erased, blogs come back and then blogs die again. It is tough, once you have been hooked and spent so much of your precious time blogging and then escape, you really don't want to take a chance of getting hooked again. We have lost more talented people that way.

Very nice 55. I thought at first you were talking about writing 55s.

  2. No Bryan, writing 55's is easy and enjoyable. I still have a passion for blogging, I just don't have the time that I would like to devote to it....G

  3. Ah, a very poignant 55 G-man. Nicely done.

My humble offering is up as well.

  4. I thought you were talking about riding a motorcycle until I got toward the end. That or weed.

    Have a great weekend, G-baby!

  5. Mine finally is up. I was a little tired last night and decided to sleep on it. I hope to make the rounds when I get back home as I am running a tad late this fine morning.

... always look on the bright, side of life ...

  6. it's a sad life cycle of a blog isn't it? but a t least it's longer than a mayfly.

  7. Yeah, man ain't it the truth? And it's sad when someone you've been reading and commenting on and talking for 6 months or a year suddenly disappears.

At any rate, I did a 55 Friday myself this week. In your honor. :)

    HUGS....

  13. You forgot to mention that responsibilities cause us to WORK instead of blog.
Seems like having a preteen daughter, rising gas, utility prices, exhorbitant food bills....has forced me to work and NOT blog.

I am up, pup with my 55 and you are now the official host! I have announced!

  14. Hi G-daddy.
My blog is in limbo right now, with so much going on in real life.
I will try to read everyones flash 55 though, and may return some day.
    Love to you all!

  15. Aight, G. (Alright, G; for those who wouldn't know.)
I thought for sure you were addressing riding, but I should know better.

I have posted the last 55 in the series I wrote, although I suppose I could milk it for some more, but this is the last I thought of originally.

  20. Oh, and I sent you a postcard from Florida.

I mean, I bought the postcard in Florida, but I sent it out from here yesterday because I procrastinate.

  24. Lisa Marie,

I turned-off all my lights from 8 to 9 and only used battery-operated devices.

    The double-A kind.

  26. we don't need to do that strumpet & Lisa. We face a 6 hours average load shedding everyday.

  27. Ooops, that was me.

My computer is being REALLY weird.

I think lappy is just jealous of my other battery-operated toys.

Hot Mona, it needed to happen. Trust me. I would have done it with, or without, the Earth Hour excuse.

But, this way, I can say it was for a good cause!

    ^_~

Load-shedding, however, seems to fit right into my theme.

  29. oh man,
how could i have missed all this??
yes, if everyone did a little
    load shedding every week
what a happy world it would be.

jeez, i never even thought of that, Strumps,
silly me, i drummed and fluted
    and lit candles and reflected,
but it never even occurred to me
to do a little load shedding....
lord knows i could have used some,
    it couldnt hurt,
and its darn good for the
    environment
even if it does wear my batteries down
    just a bit...
but i totally dug the idea
    of this world wide effort
and i'd do it again next week,
even if no one else was playin'...

  30. *hides* You wrote that about me, didn't you? Just because I only posted once in the last month doesn't mean I'm done forever. I won't let it die... I won't!

Great 55, g-man! Very timely for me, as I've just put up my first 55 in four weeks. I've been busy, though. I am 2200 miles away from where I was the last time I wrote one. And I got here by car.
