Friday Flash 55......

This Saturday is The University of Michigan's Home Football opener!
I know this probably does'nt mean much to most of you, but This is something that
I have been doing since My college days starting in 1968...
Tonight I took my daughter down to Ann Arbor to move her into her House she is
staying at for her Senior year..What memories this brings back..In that spirit, I present to
you my Friday Flash 55...

Opening Day, Ann Arbor Michigan!!
I live for this day...
I've had the same seats for Thirty years!
I'ts my Birthday, Christmas, and New Years rolled into one.
I can hear them screaming in the tunnel...God I love it so!
..."Ladies and Gentlemen, presenting the 255 piece Michigan Marching Band.

  11. Oh my God did you just bring back memories. I have not been to very many Michigan games in my life but I have listened to and watch plenty of them. And I have marched on that field (although the surface has changed several times since) twice for band day. It really is something to do. I so remember those games. It was a special time. It was a special day.

I will be watching from the sidelines of the BTN (Big Ten Network) new television network.

    Go Maze, Go Blue!

Congratulations on both of your really big days there G.

  18. I'm confused, do you go for the football or the marching bands?
You'll be glad to hear that my daughter told 2 nights ago she liked football. Makes me wonder even with all the similarities we have, if she's really mine. I know she is, but she didn't get that from Dad.

  32. Um, I related a lot better back in my U of I days, but even then I wouldn't say I related even though I was there for 5 1/2 years.

I hated football and that was DEFINITELY a football school.

I went to one game the whole time I was there and that was only like to hang-out with my boyfriend's (at the time) parents and my mom and brother and shit.

Illini was so not my scene.

This time around I'm going to a city college.

    It's much cheaper.

I STILL owe U of I money. LOTS. It's why I have to start over. I can't get my credits transferred.

But, seeing as I don't remember ANY of what I took there or ANYTHING I learned in high school...starting over is a good thing for me.

Like, there is NO sense in transferring Calculus credits when 15 yrs later I'm placing into Math 99.

Anyhow, it doesn't matter what school I go to...I will NEVER be able to relate to this.

    I can understand it though.

It just never did it for me.

Wish it did cos it seems like loads of fun!
