Friday Flash 55.....

He used to be somebody. He was....Mr. Knowitall!!
But Now? Just another casualty of the Google Monster.
He was THE "Go-To" guy for odd trivia questions like....
'Hey G... What was James Bond's favorite champagne"?
Or...'G...What does Arby's stand for'?
(sigh)
Now....He only gets asked things when the internet is down.

Yeah...Fading into the obscure Sunset are we old Trivia Goats. The Torch is Passed!
If you are an old trivia goat, or have written a Friday Flash 55
Please come tell The G-Man
I will visit, read, enjoy, comment.....Then BOOK!
So from the most trivial host from coast to coast.....
Have a Kick Ass Week-End!!!!!

  1. I used to be the queen of trivia in my family, but now it's all pop culture. I'm horrible at that.

  3. G, I would rather ask you than google anytime--cuz, no ads! Also, you have a lot more personality.I have always totally sucked at trivia.

But writing really weird stuff? That I can do.

  9. Let's see...

The name "Arby's" came from R.B. which stood for "Raffel Brothers".

In Goldfinger, James Bond (Sean Connery) said "There are some things that just aren't done. Like drinking Dom Perignon '53 above a temperature of 38 degrees Fahrenheit. That's as bad as listening to the Beatles without earmuffs."

    Thanks for another Friday 55!
    Mine's here. :)

Or, if you'd rather just watch the James Bond scene, you can go here. (!)

(It's ok. He and I have agreed to disagree about the Beatles. ;)

  11. Google Schmoogle - You have a sense of humor, I'll ask you any day :)

Struggled with an idea - found editing was the best thing … yet I'll revisit it as I need to ponder it a bit more…

  12. Google has ruined many a friendly debate, that's for sure. On the other hand, it sure beats having to call all your friends or drive to the library to get the answer to an obscure question.

    Here's mine: Un-wisdom Teeth

  13. Oh you guys.....
Thanks Janna for that GREAT Bond scene, but the Dom wasn't his favorite. He much preferred Bollinger...
AND, Arby's did indeed stand for R.B....Roast Beef!!!
    But...You Rock just the same!

  24. I bet if I ask you a question like "What is the Horizon Deepwater oil spill?" I won't have to wade through a bunch of paid-for links to find the truth. If you Google it the BP site is the second link.

K, getting off the rant box. Mine is up: Friday 55 Flasher
