Woo Hoo!

Guess who called me last night?  Yep, you guessed it, Galen.  I've never been so happy to hear someone's voice in my life.  He sounded wonderful.  It sounds like the nurses are going to have to tie him down.  I'm sure he will hate that.  He says he's definitely feeling better but remains in the hospital.  I know he can't wait to get to his computer and let you all know himself how he is doing.

Here we are at Galen's favorite hamburger joint for our birthdays.

From Thursday Evening

I'm thankful for Galen's good friend Lynne, who has been keeping us all abreast (I know that's one of Galen's favorite words) of his condition.

The latest from Lynne, "Not a whole lot new, Galen is out of ICU now and in a regular room.  He had a procedure yesterday to help out and it was done in his room, and he tolerated it well.  Galen doesn’t really have the freedom to move around as he would like so phone calls are pretty difficult at this time.   He’s getting better people, so take heart, keep the good thoughts coming for him.  I know when he is comfortable enough he will be phoning, and blogging to make up for lost time.  I know he misses you, and we all support him.  Thanks!         Lynne "

Signgurl Again

Galen is still in critical care and getting great care.  I will let you know as soon as I hear more.  Thanks for all the good wishes for our Galen!

An Inspiring Update

I received another email this morning which made my heart sing!  I know that we have all been terribly worried.  I can't wait to see him so I can kick him in his can for putting us through this.  :)

"Hi Jenn,  I just wanted you to know I went to see Galen after his surgery yesterday.  His spirits are good and though he is uncomfortable the pain meds should help get him through the postop process.  He may have to have further surgical “tune-ups”.  Galen is lucky to have such a good support system here at the home front and especially his blogger friends.  We promise to do all we can for him.  He doesn’t have any access to computer, iPhone, even a telephone in his room at this point.  I promise to get his communication tools to him as soon as possible!  Thanks for posting the info to his blog Jenn, I know he will appreciate it.      Lynne"

This was my first meeting with Barman and G-Man in March of 2007. It was one of the most fun meetings ever!
