Thursday Portrait.....

.
.
Hi Everybody...
Thank you one and all for your wonderful words of encouragement and sympathy and love this week...Much obliged! It seems that a couple of things that I've written this week, could somehow be misconstrued as a tad 'naughty'? Well as long as I'm in this "Potty Prose" mode, I may as well post My Thursday Portrait from the...Potty!
And to finish the week off perfectly, Friday's entry will be no different...hehehehe.
Ooops, I got soap all over the counter...Hmmmmmmm
Sort of reminds me something....
See Ya Friday.
Peace...!!!

One Shot Wednesday...

.

.
The Full Moon reflects off of the rippling water.
Gently illuminating long, golden, perfect legs.
Red toes wiggle with delight on one end
Volcanic intensity erupts on the other.
Eruptions to quiet a day long ache.
Eruptions for her lover's sake.
Will the fever ever slake?
As long as two hearts beat as one...
There will be Lusting, Yearning, Passion....Fun!!!
.
.
The very talented folks over at One Stop Poetry,
Hosts a fun little deal called One Shot Wednesday!
I'm very close to learning how to link up, so please be patient!
I'm certainly no poet, but Brian Miller and MoonDustWriter are such loyal supporters of Friday Flash 55, that I thought I'd better throw an entry or two their way.
Jeez, the next thing ya know I'll be doing Monkey Man's Sunday 160.
Oh well.........."Quid Pro Quo Clarice...Quid Pro Quo!"
Peace...!!!

R.I.P Richard............

.

.
.

Ask Mr. Knowitall is taking a week off, he will see you next Tuesday.
Remember on Sunday when I said that I felt like I'd been Gut-Shot?
Well After today, it felt like Both Barrels!
Here's the string of events...
A very good friend of mine is having some health issues, the attitude is good, but I know that they are very concerned. I'd like to be more help, but this person is very independant. Business lately has been a struggle as well. I've lived through this before. But still, the confidence takes a licking, and the bills still are ticking.
The worst of it all is...Last Thursday my beloved Sister-In-Law Vicky lost a courageous battle with lung cancer. She was a Peach of a Lady, totally loved and devoted to my Bro-In-Law Joe, and the funeral was Today! She lived right next door, and was very close to my children.
Then The Other Barrel....
Today Our lovely Mona,.
E-Mailed me with the terrible news that fellow Michigan Blogger BUFFALODICK aka. Uncle Buff, had passed away. I visited his web site, and sure enough there was the sad news of his death posted by his son. Buff was a wonderful Blogger Friend, very funny, witty...And was one of the Best Cooks you'll EVER come across. 99% of his posts were praising the glory of cooking. Buff believed in EXACTLY the same school of thought as me. If you can't paint, if you can't write poetry, you Can Show your love by making sure that your friends and family are sitting down to the best tasting, and best looking food available anywhere! He Loved competing in Food Cook-Offs, and did quite well. He was an avid U of M football fan like myself, and he absolutely set me straight on more than one occasion. He was opinionated, but a very gracious man...I Miss him already.
So there you have it....Not a good week!
But as The US Government said to the Cherokee Nation ...
Endeavor to Persevere!
Pax Vobiscum...!!!
.
(Ask Mr. Knowitall is my TMI Tuesday feature, G-Man is NOT taking a week off from Blogging. Be sure to join me this week for Retro-Wednesday, Thursday Portrait, Friday Flash 55)

Coffee Talk...

.
.
.
Hi Everybody...
Here's hoping that your Week-End was Kick Ass!
For me it has been very trying.
I've always taken great pride in NOT worrying about things that are out of my control.
But ya know.....Sometimes you just feel like you've been Gut-Shot!
You either heal...
You get a colostomy...
Or you bleed a slow death....
Lets see if a great cup of Java can ease some pain.
Hmmmmm....No leaks!
I'll keep you posted....

Friday Flash 55.....

.
.

SUMMER RAIN.....

Desperately in need of relief, it's always worse at night.
In that silent, dank, Moon hidden blackness
It's presence is overwhelming.
That heavy, moist, throbbing presence!
Waiting for the inevitible...
Becoming increasingly restless...
You start to feel the distant rumblings.
Closer.....Closer.....
C'mon. EXPLODE!!
Release the flood-gates...Drench ME..Soak Me!!!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh.........

If you or anyone you know has written a Friday Flash 55
Please come tell The G-Man.

Thursday Portrait.......

.
.
With the high temps and high humidity, my long unkempt hair was getting a bit shaggy. So a visit to the barber was necessary. Hahahahaha.
Mr. Clean!
Also this license plate pic from yesterday was supposed to be on today's post for obvious reasons, but I posted it prematurely in error!!
Now what was that obvious reason?
Speaking of heat and high humidity, I'm giving fair warning.....
Friday's 55 is Verrrrry Steamy
See Ya Friday....Peace!!!

Retro Wednesday....

.
.
.
Today I went to a place called The Heritage Center in Sterling Hights Michigan. We received training on the All New 2011 Silverado HD. This place is a GM training facility, and inside of the main hall they had on display at least one car from every year of the "Modern Era".
Oddly enough, the car that is regarded as the very first car in this era is the 1955 Chevy!
This is the car that sealed the fate of the old fashioned post war designs. This particular car is a Chevy Bel Air Convertable. Notice the spotlights on each side of the car? Back in the days of the Drive-In Movie theaters, between the cartoons and the previews, a darting figure appeared on the big screen called SPOTTY! It was a ball of light that zoomed and criss-crossed around the screen, and the idea was to turn on your spotlight and zero in on spotty, and KEEP your light on him. Thats how many cars had spotlights in the 50's....Now only cop cars have them!
Sorry to rattle on....Peace!!!

TMI Tuesday....

.
.
.
A Mr. Richard Fader from Fort Lee New Jersey asks...
.
'Dear Mr. Knowitall, last night at our local pub, I got into a heated argument with a fellow that claimed that 100 years ago, the tallest man made structure in the world was the Great Pyramid in Egypt. I tried to tell him that The Eifel Tower in Paris was. Since nobody here owns a computer to google it, who is right? An ice cold Pabst Blue Ribbon is at stake here'!!!!
Also, could you perhaps give us some interesting facts of 100 years ago?
.
Dear Richard...Of course I can!!
And BTW...Belly up to the bar Son, You Win!
.
In the year 1910...
*The tallest structure in the world was indeed The Eifle Tower.
*The average life expectancy was 47 years.
*Only 14% of all homes had a bath tub.
*Only 8% of all homes had a telephone.
*There were only 8000 cars, and 144 miles of paved roads.
*The average wage was .22 cents an hour.
*A dentist earned 2500.00 bucks a year
*More than 95% of all births took place at home.
*90% of all doctors had no College Degree...They attended Medical school!
*Sugar cost .04 cents a pound.
*Eggs were .14 cents a pound.
*Coffee was .15 cents a pound.
*Most women only washed their hair ONCE a month! And for shampoo they used Borax or eggs!
.
THE 5 LEADING CAUSES OF DEATH WERE..
1. Influenza
2. TB
3. Diarrhea
4. Heart Disease
5. Stroke.
.
The American Flag had 45 stars.
The population of Las Vegas Nevada was 30!!
Crossword Puzzles, Canned Beer, and Iced tea were not invented yet!
There were NO Mothers Day OR Fathers Day.
20% of America could not read or write.
Only 6% of all Americans graduated from High School
The Universty of Michigan went UNDEFEATED if College Footbal.
Marijuana, Heroin, and Morphine were available OTC at the drug store!!
There were only 230 murders in all of the USA during the entire Year!
And our beloved dear Maestro Steve-A-Roni was born that year!!.
.
.
I hope that these stats wins you some more brewski's Richard, Good Question.
But all of this century old rememberin is making Mr. Knowital grow very weary. And he has to be in Deeetroit by 9:00 AM at GM Headquarters to be trained and schooled on the New 2011 Chevy Silverado. Then return to work until 8:00 PM. Needless to say Commenting will be at a minimum, so please forgive my absence.
I bid you adieu...

The tiny Crustacean Appraiser's eye nearly popped out of his head when he finally got close enough to read the name on the cup and saucer..MEAKEN!! It's a MEAKEN!!
.

Thursday Portrait.....

.
.
The dealership that I work for, Vic Canever Chevrolet, has been chosen as the Flagship store for GM's new look. Project 2013!
The idea is to have all the divisions look the same..Much like McDonalds...Wendy's...Etc. When you see the blue and white with a Gold Bow-Tie look from the outside, you'll know that it's Chevrolet... Buick, Cadillac, and GMC will have their own look as well.
Since we have remodeled, these "Corporate Interior Designers" just can't decide on how the reception desk should look like. We have had THREE different desks since March, and today no less than TWELVE 'Shooters' from GM's World Headquarters came to check out the new look. I swear, at one time all 12 people were just staring and staring and staring at this desk. It was SPOOKY! Anyway, I decided to sit in the reception chair during one of these Stare Downs, and I was trying to figure out what they might have been staring at.
Hmmmmm....
I wonder what might have going through their minds?
See you all tomorrow...
(Mine is Auto related...hehehe)

Retro Wednesday...

.
.
No matter how big and bad they think they've become, My kid LOVES to go fishin with Dad! I've taken him with me since he was 4. Once we were visiting cousins that lived on Lake Champlain, Reese was about 7, he had a can of worms as bait and that kid stayed on the dock fishing for 6 straight hours without moving, except to proudly hold up his fish to me.!!
He turns 21 in October, he's a Junior in College. He DID very well saving money this Summer for the Fall Semester. The times we spent together fishing can never be taken away from us.
I know this is a strange Retro-Wednesday post, but of all the images that I'll EVER take with me to my grave, our times spent together fishing will always make me feel like I've accomplished something in this all too brief existence that we call life..
Peace...!!!

"I want your ugly, I want your disease
