Thursday Portrait......

Hi Everybody....Like the Ear Ring?
Notice something strange about My Thursday Portrait?
(Other than some freezing Old Fart)
This week there is No 55!
Get It? No 55........

The beautiful Peaceful lady sitting in the bottom photo, is one of my Oldest and most loyal Blogger friends Mona. On Dec. 21st her husband died.
Her Link is on my sidebar if you know her and wish to send condolences.
A few of my fellow bloggers and myself affectionately refer to her as the "Town Crier" because she knows everybody's Birthday, and proudly announces it to the World.
She lives in Agra India, and that might be a scary place for a widowed woman.
She is a Brilliant, Compassionate Soul...And I send her my prayers.
May God give you Strength Mona....
Peace...!!!

  7. Thank you, Gman
I posted a poem for her, written under similar circumstances for a friend,

I hope our prayers are heard.

This blog-world is strange and alien to me but such a supportive place (the only blog I know, what luck!)

Have a warm and honest and intimate holiday with those you love, because, as I always say, LITSNT

  20. India was at one time a difficult place for widows. But these days, it's not nearly so bad. Which is fortunate, because there's enough to deal with without adding on the stress of facing life in an ashram.

My prayers are with Mona and her son, especially in this time of loss.

And "official" 55 or not, this is one that needed writing, and needed to be published today. So if I'm the only one playing that's fine. But I'll play on, because it needs saying.
